HOLLISTON, Massachusetts — What a buzzkill.
Cops placed a Massachusetts high school on lockdown after getting an anonymous call reporting a student with a “bong,” in his car, but which officers misheard as “bomb.”
As officers cordoned off the parking lot of Holliston High School, they used phone records to determine who had placed the anonymous call. When they found the person, he “emphatically and convincingly” told cops that “the other student had a “bong” in his/her car and not a “bomb,” the school said.
They then located the supposed bomb suspect and when they searched through the teen’s belongings, they found the bong.
“Based on this information, the student parking lot was re-opened and normal activities resumed,” the school said on its Facebook page.
