WICHITA FALLS, Texas — A burglary suspect was found channeling his inner Jazz Age flapper when he was caught red-handed dressed in a homeowner’s Betty Boop pajamas.
Police say they received a call about a burglary in progress on Feb. 19 in Wichita Falls. When they arrived at the home, the owners said they had come home and heard someone in their bathroom talking to himself and taking a shower.
Cops noticed signs of forced entry and cautiously made their way into the home where they found 37-year-old Brad Vaughan in the bedroom wearing only a pair of Betty Boop pajama bottoms that belonged to one of the home owners.
His clothes lay in a crumpled pile nearby, cops said.
The owners said they didn’t know Vaughan and he didn’t have permission to be there so he was charged with burglary. He remains held in the Wichita County jail on $10,000 bond.
