OROVILLE, California — A woman with a lightning bolt tattoo on her face and who goes by the nickname “Storm,” has been charged with stabbing her husband for the second time this year.
Police in Butte County, California say they got a call that the victim had approached several neighbors’ homes in Oroville, saying he’d been stabbed by his wife, Lisa Belyew.
Officers who responded to the scene found Tait Belyew with a non-life threatening stab wound to his chest and he was taken to a local hospital where he was treated and released.
Police say that the couple had gotten into an argument in the backyard of their home which ended with her stabbing him.
Upon further investigation, it was revealed that Lisa Belyew was facing charges in nearby Colusa County for assault with a deadly weapon, domestic violence, and destruction of property.
The Marysville Appeal-Democrat reported that Belyew and her husband got into an argument at the Colusa Motel in February which ended with her stabbing him.
The husband then stumbled into the manager’s office, where police found him covered in blood.
Lisa Belyew was found in the couple’s room also covered in blood and pretending to be asleep, police said. Investigators say alcohol appeared to have played a role in the assault.
She was out on bail and awaiting trial in February for assault with a deadly weapon and corporal injury to a spouse, domestic violence resulting in great bodily injury and use of a deadly weapon.
Belyew was held on $105,000 bond in the latest episode.
The couple have operated a blog and YouTube channel on which they have posted numerous videos and angry screeds accusing local authorities of harassment and corruption. Lisa Belyew has also accused officers in several jurisdictions of sexually assaulting her.
