SANTA ANA, California — This guy got high in more ways than one.
A California motorist who told cops he was high on narcotics crashed his car into the second floor of a dental office after striking a median at a high rate of speed, sending the vehicle airborne.
Both the driver and his passenger suffered minor injuries in the crash that left the white sedan lodged in the second story of the Santa Ana building, with its rear end dangling out over the street.
Fire officials had to bring in a special crane truck to remove the vehicle and it was not immediately clear if the building remained structurally sound following the crash.
Santa Ana Police say the driver admitted he had taken narcotics before getting behind the wheel. He faces possible charges after he is released from a local hospital.
