OSSIPEE, New Hampshire — There was a moment when it all went sideways.
Police say the owner of a New Hampshire construction business blew his top and attacked staff before using a front-end loader to tip a truck on its side and push it 1,000 feet down a highway.
Edward Evans, 55, of Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, was arrested and charged with assault, criminal mischief, reckless conduct and reckless operation for the bizarre incident on Wednesday, the Ossipee police said.
Investigators say the incident was triggered off by a fight between Evans and his sister-in-law at their family’s construction company. Police say Evans had asked for the truck to be moved off the property weeks ago, but when it wasn’t, he blew his top and took more dramatic measures.
After pushing it 1,000 feet up Route 16, Evans dumped the truck at an auto repair shop.
Evans was later released on bail.
