CONROE, Texas — A night of drinking took a gruesome turn when a woman bit off the nose of a party host who asked her to leave.
Jessica Collins, 41, had been out with the victim and a mutual pal for a night of drinking before heading back to the woman’s house.
The victim told KTRK-TV that they all returned to her home after the bar, when Collins demanded more alcohol and cigarettes.
She then told Collins to leave, but she instead jumped on the host, pulling her to the ground by her hair. Collins then allegedly bit off a large piece of woman’s nose and swallowed it.
“I didn’t have time to react, to push her away,” said the woman, whom KTRK identified only by her first name, Tatiana. “I think I was trying to fight back, but I couldn’t. All I could remember was the taste of blood in my mouth.”
She says she passed out several times and didn’t realize her nose was injured until she was in the ambulance.
“I started calling my husband when I was in the ambulance,” Tatiana said. “I was screaming, like, ‘I don’t have a nose. I’m 28 years old and I don’t have a nose anymore.'”
Doctors told her that she needed urgent reconstructive surgery, but Tatiana says she doesn’t have health insurance. Friends set up a GoFundMe account to raise money to pay for the surgery.
Collins was charged with assault.
