SUWANEE, Georgia — Former NFL star Jamal Anderson is taking his “Dirty Bird” antics too far.
The former Atlanta Falcons running has been accused of drunkenly whipping out his penis at a suburban Atlanta convenience store and flashing the clerk.
Police in Suwanee say they were called to the QuikTrip store early Wednesday where the clerk said Anderson “‘exposed himself.” Officers said Anderson, 44, appeared intoxicated, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.
Anderson was not arrested because the clerk declined to press charges, police said. But he has been banned from returning to the store.
Cops say Anderson didn’t drive to the shop, so they put him in an Uber car to take him home.
Since his playing days, Anderson’s life has taken an erratic turn and he has had several run-ins with the law.
In 2009, Anderson was arrested when an off-duty cop spotted him snorting cocaine off the back of a toilet in a bar. The charges were later dismissed.
Anderson was arrested in August in the Atlanta area for driving with a suspended license and for a moving violation. He has previously been arrested twice for driving under the influence.
Anderson helped take the Falcons to the Super Bowl in 1998 when he led the league in rushing with 1,846 yards and was named to the Pro Bowl that year. The Falcons lost to the John Elway-led Denver Broncos, 34-19.
He was well known for his “Dirty Bird” touchdown celebration, in which he rhythmically flapped his arms as if they were wings. His career ended in 2001 when he blew out his knee. In 2013, he lost his home to foreclosure and was forced to pay off a $1 million tax lien.
