LARGO, Florida — Unhappy Halloween!
A Florida man was busted after getting into a fight with his girlfriend and smashing a pumpkin over her head, cops said.
Pinellas County deputies say when they arrived at the Largo, Florida home of Nathan Garisto, in response to a domestic violence call, they found his 29-year-old girlfriend covered with pieces of pumpkin and pumpkin seeds.
According to the criminal complaint, the 26-year-old Garisto was “heavily intoxicated” when he got into a loud argument with the girlfriend, who was not publicly identified.
When she demanded he leave, he smashed the pumpkin over her head and flipped a tarp covered in various things on top of her, the complaint read.
Garisto told cops he was aiming for a sliding glass door when he threw the pumpkin, but accidentally hit his girlfriend. He was charged with domestic battery and released on $1,000 bond. He was also ordered to wear an alcohol monitor.
