LIVE OAK, Florida — Maybe he had played “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door” one too many times.
Police in northern Florida say they were called to investigate a disturbance at a small church in Live Oak when they found Zachary Don Morris, 25, screaming profanities and smashing his acoustic guitar over a gravestone in the church cemetery.
When Suwanee County Sheriff’s deputies searched Morris, they say they found a straw and filter “consistent with the use of meth.”
Upon questioning, Morris admitted he had recently used methamphetamine. He was charged with disorderly conduct and possession of drug paraphernalia and booked into the Suwanee County Jail.
Morris has had prior arrests for domestic battery and for failing to pay child support.
