SAN ANTONIO, Texas — In a scene straight out of “A Nightmare on Elm Street,” a man wearing a Freddy Krueger mask opened fire at a crowded Halloween party, wounding five people.
Police say the violence erupted after a group of men barged into the party uninvited around 5 a.m. Sunday morning and an an argument broke out with the hosts.
The man in the Freddy mask then pulled out a gun and opened fire on a crowd of people, striking four men and a woman, the San Antonio Express-News reported.
The men were taken to area hospitals and three were treated and released. The woman attempted to drive herself to the hospital, but crashed on the way.
The gunman and the other party crashers fled the scene and no arrests have been made.
