Playboy model Christina Carlin-Kraft was found beaten to death in her home last week
ARDMORE, Pennsylvania — Cops have nabbed the brutal killer allegedly behind the brutal slaying of a Playboy model in her apartment last week.
Ex-con Jonathan Wesley Harris, 30, was picked up after getting off a bus in Pittsburgh and charged with the murder of model Christina Carlin-Kraft, according to Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin Steele.
Carlin-Kraft, 36, left her Ardmore, Pa., apartment in the early morning hours of Aug. 22, and took a Lyft into Philadelphia – where she met up with Harris, Steele said.
The two got back to her pad at about 3 a.m., where she was killed, the prosecutor said.
“Christina was beaten, and the beating was substantial. Her nose was broken, she had black eyes, there was a lot of blood,” Steele said, according to WPVI. “Then she died of strangulation. Something was put around her neck.”
It wasn’t immediately clear how Kraft knew her killer. Harris had just been released from prison on July 15.
“Whether it was a chance meeting or something else, I can’t say,” Steele said.

Investigators were able to zero in on Harris after they released surveillance video of a man spotted near the model’s building. Steele said police received a “substantial tip” from the video release, leading to Harris’ ID.
“When we got that name, we were able to work a number of angles,” the prosecutor said.
