ANGELS CAMP, California — It’s the stuff of nightmares.
Cops in California were stunned when they pulled a motorist over for running a stop sign and found a freshly dug up human skull in his car.
Angels Camp Police say they stopped Joshua Davis, 41, late Thanksgiving evening and discovered he was driving with a suspended license.
While waiting for a tow truck to arrive to take the car, officers conducted an inventory search of the vehicle and turned up a bag of methamphetamine and the recently unearthed human skull in the truck.
When they asked Davis where the skull came from, he refused to answer any questions.
Davis was charged with disturbing human remains, drug possession and driving with a suspended license.
The skull was sent to the local coroner’s office to determine where it came from.
