PALM BEACH GARDENS, Florida — There was really no way this could have ended well.
A Florida mom has been charged with trying to run over her daughter’s husband after he spilled the beans that they had been having an affair, cops said.
Kathleen Regina Davis, 58, told police that the man’s confession had ruined her relationship with her daughter. Infuriated, Davis drove to the 33-year-old man’s home on Sept. 20 and pelted the house with eggs, police said.
When the man, whose name was not made public, came out of the home, cops say she then tried to run him down several times with her Mercedes Benz, but he managed to escape.
Davis told officers who responded to the scene that she had intended to run the man down and that she wanted him dead.
Police in their report described the man as an ex-boyfriend of Davis’ daughter, but the Palm Beach Post reported that records showed that they are actually married and are in the midst of a divorce.
Davis has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. She was released on $3,000 bond.
