HOUSTON — A Texas woman was arrested after a disturbing shooting broadcast on Facebook Live that left a man clinging to life as a group of people played with a gun in a car.
Houston Police say three people were sitting in the car in a gas station parking lot early Sunday morning toying around with a handgun as the cameras rolled.
As Cassandra Damper, 25, begins waving the gun around, victim Devyn Holmes, 26, tells her: “You’re making me nervous,” according to the video.
“It ain’t got no clip,” the other man in the car said.
But then the gun goes off, striking Holmes in the head. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he is in extremely critical condition and on life support, cops said.
Damper told police she thought the gun wasn’t loaded and that the shooting was an accident.
She was arrested for tampering with evidence after she tried to wipe gunshot residue off her hands. Further charges may be pending.
